HBO Face Off with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz, has revealed little of what we already knew. Ortiz talked about how he was going to beat Mayweather, and that he did not intend to allow Floyd to take his belt. Repeal Mayweather, saying: "They put in front of 41, 41 came up short." It 'the same dialogue Trash Talk Mayweather, and his opponent.
Through face-off, Ortiz was confident and showed a very specific behavior. It would not allow Mayweather to enter his head. Can you love from the heart of the child. Ortiz opened as an outsider of 7 to 1, and it obviously did not care. Ortiz has struggled since he was young. He and his siblings were abandoned by their mothers at a very early age, so why should we be afraid of Mayweather? Beware Maidana fight, Ortiz is a tough hombre.
Mayweather is a point when he says he beat Shane Mosley after Mosley had a hell of a performance against Antonio Margarito. He came back and beat Juan Manuel Marquez, Mark was clearly the smaller man, after an absence of two years. Marcos was (and is) an elite fighter and Mayweather deserves credit for his win against him. To add to the discussion of Mayweather, who also beat an undefeated Ricky Hatton. While most fans love to hate the Floyd, he fought fighters who were in their early victories and was huge.
Not a slight against Manny Pacquiao, but he fought Hatton and Mosley after both fighters were clearly not at his best. Hatton was about to be torn down and Mosley was just old. I have nothing against Pacquiao, because he remains the best fighter today, but for argument's sake, Mayweather does not make sense.
Come September 17, Ortiz is up everyone is talking about. He has everything to gain and nothing to lose. With Mayweather is different. Must hit Ortiz and the set-up a monumental showdown with Manny Pacquiao next year.
